It’s officially holiday and festival fun time and we’ve got a few favourites when it comes to keeping cool and looking good, naturally. Minimalist packing is the way to go if you want to keep things light and easy. But remembering a few creature comforts is helpful too. Especially if you don’t want to be running to the shops in search of sunscreen and deodorant!
Keep Hydrated
I know it seems obvious but remember to drink a lot of water! It’s easy to forget when the holiday rhythm takes hold, but it’s vital to stay hydrated. So, take a refillable water bottle and top it up as often as you can. It will your skin hydrated too, for a glowing complexion and a happy body, inside and out. I also recommend drinking organic coconut water. You can find the handy travel-size cartons at most grocery stores. Make sure you buy a brand that is pure and not full of additives. Our fave is *Vita Coco – works a treat. I never leave home without it.
Freshen Up
As the temperatures rise, you’ll obviously want to smell as fresh as possible. Our Aura Clean Deodorant is non-toxic and aluminium-free, and now it’s available in a smaller 15g size that’s perfect for popping in your pocket or suitcase. Each travel-size pot contains around 6-8 weeks of applications, which will see you through any fun-filled vacation! Using a blend of cold-pressed coconut and olive oils combined with pure beeswax, it’s invigorating and soothing, with a gorgeous uplifting aroma.
Stay Safe in The Sun
The sun’s rays are one of the most damaging and ageing factors skin has to deal with. Don’t leave home without a hat and sunscreen. Your first line of defence is to avoid heavy sun exposure by covering up delicate skin. Next, look for natural sunscreen that contains non-nano particle zinc. I really like this one from *Goddess Garden. I use it for the whole family. It is a bit white and a little sticky at first but it lasts. This one from UK company, *Shade, also looks promising. I haven’t tried it yet but is comes in a small tin that would be great for packing. Zinc provides the best barrier and it works instantly. Keep reapplying it throughout the weekend, every few hours ideally. Your skin will thank you in years to come!
Skin Salvation
We all know normal skincare routines are likely to fall by the wayside over a festival weekend or on holiday, but it’s worth packing a couple of skin saviours to rehydrate complexions that have been overexposed to the elements. Our all-natural, vegan Citrus + Hemp Clear Skin Serum features organic grapefruit, lavender and rosemary to keep oiliness at bay. Packed with vitamins and bio-oils to help restore and balance the skin, this is deeply hydrating and ideal for soothing sunburn. It comes in a handy 5ml, 20ml size that is ideal for popping in an overnight bag. Perfect for those hot and sweaty days out.

Good Vibes
Our all-natural Frankin-Sense Divine Skin Concentrate combines frankincense, carrot seed, rose geranium, patchouli and lavender essential oils to soothe and hydrate skin that need a little bit of get up and glow! These oils also promote a sense of calm and wellbeing – perfect for festival-going vibes and chilling by the pool. This rich, balmy formula is also an amazing after-sun hydrator. Handy 15ml available.
Now all that is left to do is to pack your minimalist toiletries bag, pop on those shades and off you go!
