Description
Caffeine & Rosemary Hair Growth Shampoo
Our revolutionary, water-activated hair growth shampoo with natural DHT blockers. This is a fantastic product for all hair but it’s especially beneficial for limp, fine and fragile hair. 100% Plant-based and Certified Cruelty Free.
Why use shampoo with natural DHT blockers?
Caffeine, Rosemary and Coconut oil are natural Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) blockers.
Why would you want to block DHT?
Your body converts testosterone to DHT with the help of enzymes held in the oil glands of your hair follicles. If you’re genetically prone to hair loss, DHT will bind to the receptors in your hair follicles, causing the follicles to shrink, eventually stopping new hair growth.
If you are sensitive to DHT, blocking it won’t regrow hair that is already lost but it will help to slow down the process of hair thinning.
Our natural, plastic free shampoo is for you if:
- Your hair is lacking volume, thinning or feels weak.
- Your scalp is itchy or flakey (often caused by Sulphates, which over-dry and irritate your scalp).
- You don’t enjoy harsh, synthetic chemicals running down your face and body in the shower.
- You are looking for a Curly Girl Method approved shampoo.
- You don’t want to harm aquatic life every time you wash your hair (our formula is 100% biodegradable).
- You don’t get on with shampoo bars (so tricky for longer hair)
- You want less plastic in your life.
IS IT NATURAL AND VEGAN?
YES! Our shampoo is 100% plant-based, natural, vegan, cruelty free and biodegradable.
DOES IT CONTAIN SLS (SULPHATES)?
NO! We don’t use any Sulphates to achieve our signature foamy lather. Instead we use a mild coconut-derived cleanser, which is very gentle on delicate hair.
IS IT GLUTEN FREE?
Yes, our shampoo is gluten free. We use organic wheatgerm oil in the shampoo formulation. This is a gluten free oil, despite sounding to the contrary. The refining process to make wheatgerm oil removes the gluten proteins from the final product. A gluten free ingredient declaration statement is available upon request.
IS IT SOY FREE?
Yes, our shampoo is soy free. We use organic coconut milk powder in the formulation and organic Maltodextrin makes up 2.5% of this ingredient. Our Maltodextrin is derived from organic Tapioca starch, which is extracted from a tuberous South American Cassava root.
IS IT NUT FREE?
All of our products are nut free. However, we use ingredients that may have been packed on premises that handles nuts (including peanuts), seeds, cereals, soy and products containing gluten prior to coming to our facility for mixing up into our lovely range of products.
WHAT’S IT LIKE?
- Scent: Fresh with hits of Rosemary and Lemongrass
- Texture: Fine powder
- Foam: Rich and satisfying
HOW DO I USE IT?
Give your bottle a firm whack on the bottom to loosen the any powder that may have settled (do this with the lid on, obviously!). Shake a small amount of the powder onto your palm, which should be wet from the shower. Rub hands together to form a thick paste. Massage the paste onto roots of wet hair and lather. Rinse as usual. Follow with a conditioner. Avoid contact with your eyes and avoid getting water in the bottle.
HOW LONG DOES A BOTTLE LAST?
One of our tiny bottles is the equivalent of 3 x 250ml conventional, water-based shampoo bottles. The length and thickness of you hair will determine how fast you go through that amount.
HOW MUCH DO I NEED PER WASH?
It depends on the length and thickness of your hair. Start with around a 20p coin size and adjust from there to find your perfect shampoo experience.
DO I NEED A CONDITIONER?
Usually, yes. Some people, especially men with short hair, don’t need one. However, if you have long hair, dry hair or colour-treated hair, you will most likely need a conditioner.
CAN I USE THIS SHAMPOO ON COLOUR-TREATED HAIR?
Yes, all our haircare can be used on colour-treated hair. When in use, our haircare products have an ideal pH range for colour-treated hair and contain no sulphates, so usage won’t result in excess colour-stripping. Washing your hair with anything, even water, will cause some colour to fade but it’s the products that are more alkaline (pH 7+) that cause excess colour stripping. Don’t forget: if you have recently coloured your hair, you should wait a few days to let your colour “bake-in” before your first wash (advice that goes for shampooing in general).
IS THIS GOOD FOR CURLY HAIR?
Yes, our shampoo is sulphate and alcohol free, making it a great option if you are looking for Curly Girl Method approved low-poo shampoo.
WILL I NEED A VINEGAR RINSE?
NO! This shampoo DOES NOT require an additional vinegar rinse as it’s already perfectly pH balanced.
WILL THIS WORK IN HARD WATER AREAS?
YES! This shampoo has been formulated to have an optimal pH range, so hard water won’t have a negative effect on the cleansing ability.
