Remember the 2017 Pure Beauty Magazine Awards shortlist in September?
This is what happened after you voted…
When we first found out that Aura Clean Deodorant had been shortlisted in the Best New Deodorant category, we were thrilled but didn’t really think we could win against the competition. We thought “It’s amazing to be nominated, but unlikely we will raise enough votes to come close to the big brands.” Never-the-less, we decided to go to the Pure Beauty Awards ceremony, which was held at the Savoy Hotel in London.
Arriving at the Savoy was amazing. The hotel was even more beautiful than we had imagined, with so many spacious, decadent rooms, stunning staircases, tall ceilings, and sumptuous nooks for lounging and looking fabulous in.
We started with a champagne reception, where we mingled with some really interesting people, and then made our way to the ballroom. It was fully decked out in the most beautiful table settings, flowers, candles, and crystal chandeliers. Very impressive.
When the winner were announced in the “Best New Deodorant” category, we were absolutely over-the-moon! To hold our own in that crowd, as a new brand, was incredible. What a feeling.
We’re on your heels, Dove!
Awake Organics took the Silver award, Dove took the Gold, and Sure took Bronze. What that says to us is that there is an even bigger consumer movement towards ethical, cruelty free products in the UK than we had realised.
Thank you so much for taking the time to vote for us, and for supporting our indie-beauty business. It was an amazing experience made possible by you. We are so grateful and humbled. THANK YOU!
